X Men III: The Last Stand
Watching this last movie of the X-Men, we're truly given a lot of superpower action, which we'll not find in our reality. The war between Xavier's side who we called X-Men and Magneto's brotherhood surely is the main attraction on this film. Although some other spice added, including triangle love (Scott, Logan "Wolverine" and Jane Grey also Kitty, Rogue & Bobby "Iceman").
If we look closer, from a different angle, not all fiction was on this movie. Some things are interestingly reminding me to what happen in the real life, for example:
- Magneto who in some ways reminding me to Osama bin Laden who become a people whose most feared by The President of United States.
- Magneto's Brotherhood and his attempt to fight against the government somehow showing a bunch of people with a same background and perception whose trying to fight the government because the government/US feared/attempt to fear with their existence.
- Xavier's fate that's become like other important heroes in the real world. That's why in her speech storm say "it looks like a fate that someone who has a big mission never got to see when their mission achieved".
- Too bad that in the end, which appeared to be happy ending, the entire magneto's side was lost and destroyed. Cause it might be more happier if we could see how magneto's and the US government (with the x-men supposed to be in the middle) could find what mistakes they has done and understanding each other, even after war.
After all it still a movie that entertaining and makes us think also (if we want too), so just enjoy it.
